I'm tired of always just watching how things'll turn out.

There's not that much money because of this horrible fincial crisis that's been bugging our lives for so long. It's not the first time in the world... these things happen. It's just the first time these economical issues affect my life in a negative way... so that I can see it. As a child when things were badly Mom and Dad and every other adult would fix it. Sigh.

They want to close down many schools and make bigger ones inorder to save money. How? Well when they've got fewer buildings to look after for they can save money... I don't know ALL the facts. No official desicions have been made so this is the time when one should complain. According to the local newspaper, even the city bureaucrats are awe-struck about the major plans which is kind of silly since they are the people desiding... I don't want to sound naive. I don't know all the facts and I'm sure all the officials are, in a weird way, thinking about everyones best.. It's just that...

Politicians seem to forget us.. forget the everyday life. YES there is too little money.. We have to make changes. I don't object the changes but I wish they'd remember that too big class sizes make it really hard for the students to learn properly. Yes, with more pupils, more interesting courses can be arranged. Like one can stude Portugese for example since in a school of 1000 people there will be more than one interested in the language and the course needn't be arranged for only one or two people. But in my oppinion the most important thing is that we can get good teaching and then get a good general knowledge we can use in life and then educate ourselves and then be useful to our community. I'm sure in the end, everyone agrees with me. For example... They teach Japanese to high school students in our school. Many people are interested and they come from all over the city. Why can't we just be individual schools and cooperate. Mix schools that have a completely different tradition..? nerds versus artists... No way José. Too hasty and shallow desicions may cost alot in the future.

I just don't know. All I know is I don't want to just sit and watch. I don't even know why I care since I'll be long gone by the time they'l (possibly) l close the schools. I'm afraid I'll sound too naive and... Writing to a newspaper is so official. One other girl from our school said it'd be great if I did it... if many could write.. since then it'd get more attention. Argh. Sigh. Gah. I wish I could hind behind a nick name. Many have suggested that I should use our schools Finnish teacher's name but I know there are easier ways to commit suicide...

The smell spread everywhere. A young mother and her child were eating a hamburger meal in the bus. I couldn't but feel sad and a little sick too when the mother kept giving the small chid COKE, french fries and the hamburger. I know it's fast and reasonably cheap but... GAH.

Shouldn't we be teaching our offspring how to lead a healthy life? I have to admit my parents sometimes bought me some special meals meant for children (toys included!!) after they picked me up from kindergarten. I wont lie: the food is nice and tempting a very unhealthy way. But I want you to know that I was really chubby too. It's so ironic how we are dying of being too fat and at the same time people are dying because they don't have anything to eat...

My friend once told me that because in Israel the food in restaurants usually has to be kosher (Jewish dietary laws: Jews don't mix milk products with meat), people are asked wheather they want cheese or beef between their bred. I thought it was hilarious. It was a joke though. There are kosher McDonalds´too...

- Planning an interrail trip (for now it'll only happen in my head, though...)

- Thinking of the upcoming holiday
- A random person kept the door open for me
- My Aunt mailed me
- The Improbatur-magazine came and it was really interesting
- We had a sports day in school and the weather was lovely
- I was able to fight temptations and avoid going to the annoyingly popular sales that are going on right now. People are carrying yellow bags everywhere and suddenly have the need of some random product...
- Ice-cream
Count your blessings, ehh? it's really funny when you come to think of it... So many nice things happen and so often I miss them... or am too busy to enjoy them.

I really enjoy being creative and tinkering with small things. I especially enjoy scrap-booking kind of projects where I decorate note books that have pictures and special memories in them. I made one after our school dance last February. I must say it's much nicer to look at than a traditional albums. Plus there is more room to write stuff about funny things that happened...

This one is extra girly because that's how I fealt that day, like a princess. I guess that's why the crown's there aswell. I got my hairdo inspiration from Thandie Newton. The back isn't "as succesful" but I like the real flower, though.

Doing stuff by yourself is really worth trying. It's more valuable than buying everything ready made :)

I don't know what to write. My head is blank. I want to write but I can't. I hope this is just a phase.

I'm so tired and miserable right now :'(

Postcrossing

How does it work?

First, the short version:

1. request an address from the website
2. mail the postcard to the address
3. wait to receive a postcard
4. register the received postcard in the system

The project

The goal of this project is to allow people to receive postcards from all over the world, for free. Well, almost free! The main idea is that: if you send a postcard, you will receive at least one back from a random Postcrosser from somewhere in the world.

I've been a member since 2006. I really like it! At times it can be boring to buy and write cards, and frustrating to get many cards from the same country but dispite the faults, I think it's been and still is a exiting adventure. And you know. the world really is small. I'm not joking.

Here are my favourite cards (you can write what kind of cards you'd like but in the end, the sender makes the decision since no one can them to buy a sertain card. Oh well, postcrossers are nice and they usually try to be active).

This is my first card from postcrossing from Estonia. September 26th 2006. It's self-made aswell. Sigh... nostalgic.

This dish is called Yosenabe! The card says it's a "Japanese-style chowder, chiken, fish, shellfish, mushroom, seasonal vegetable, etc. are boiled in soup seasoned with fish soup stock, soy sauce, rice wine, etc. (I wonder what etc´s are... ) I think I'm too sissy to try this but it's a really cool card!

A really nice card from Germany (written in German since my profile says I speak German!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Well, I understood actually and replied in GERMAN!). I love these unique cards!

This card is not that special but the family who sent it added really nice pictures and the two boys drew me pictures. I almost cried when I saw it... I was so touched. My stupid skanner wont work this evening so you can't see them.

This card is so so so lovely. In my profile I wrote that I'd really like a self made card and this lovely person made this for me! She still sends me artistic cards when she has time. (I send her some wannabe artistic cards too but.. well..)

Domestic cats and their character. I've got an Italian pen pal that I found through postcrossing. She is really awesome and last month we met live! She came here with ther Dad because there was a postcrossing meeting in Helsinki later on. I didn't attend the meeting but she sent me this card and it had the signatures of every partisipant there. Thank you so much OnTheMoon<3.

It's funny how these cards always suprise me after a sucky day. I hope that postcards or snailmail in general wont be extinct in the future. It'd be horrible and unfair.

Solid

Ah, the 80´s.

I've been really tired and sombre lately because I'm just sick of my hectic schedule. I did my final English exam and I've still got one more exam to go. In addition, I also need to do normal school work and exams. I'm so tired. I also feel really numb and useless since this is what I've been practising for and now the time has come to give my all and I don't know if I've got it in me. I'm just having moodswings because of lack of sleep. This will be over soon.

On the day I did my English exam I was really exhausted after sitting for six hours. I just threw my school bag somewhere when getting home, I put the radio on and increased the volume. I started singing really loud and I danced to really random but awesome music from the old good days. I just danced for several minutes. Note, people could see into my room because I hadn't closed my windows drapes. I didn't care. It was so much fun (yes, I guess it was sad in a way).

Here are some of the songs I coreographed that evening. These are my favourite since I love the music from the 80´s. It was such cool time, I mean look at their hair (Solid) their clothes..!

Well enjoy these (very corny) videos. (Well, I guess that's too much to ask.. just watch it and imagine me dancing in a way that's alot like the final scene in Little Miss Sunshine.)
